The project that inspired this document collection is based on a dataset of 135 interviews collected over four years between 2014 and 2018 on immigration enforcement and executive relief programs initiated during the Obama administration, including DACA, DAPA, and DACA+. We interviewed individual immigrants, government officials, and leaders of NGO's in Orange and Los Angeles counties, with a particular focus on the mediating role played by civil society groups in helping communities cope with a high degree of legal uncertainty and personal risk. Though the interviews themselves are not currently available to the public, there are many related primary source documents that are. This website presents many of these documents and others, divided up into the following five categories.
